About Stephen Anderson
Political writing that follows the consequences.
Stephen Anderson is a Scottish political writer and analyst, business owner and business and AI adviser. His work combines public-policy analysis with experience of leading businesses and developing digital services.
The work
Context before certainty.
Stephen writes essays, briefings and analysis that start with the structure behind a political argument: the trade-off beneath a promise, the institutions that shape an outcome, and the people who carry its consequences.
His work examines Scotland’s politics and public life through the connected questions of democracy, public services, taxation, investment, energy, place and constitutional change.
Stephen led Kelpie Media, a marketing agency and TV production business that employed more than 30 staff at its peak. His wider business experience includes ACE Business Supplies and Woosh Couriers. His television production work includes programmes on Scottish culture and global socio-economic issues for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Al Jazeera and PBS.
Scotland Reimagined is a separate political organisation and publication. This site is Stephen Anderson’s independent personal home for writing, analysis and public profile.
